20th Oct 2010

In the last several weeks, we were performing an upgrade of the MySQL5 server to version 5.1. The servers were upgraded in batches to avoid any possible problems and to be able to provide extensive support to customers with possible incompatibility issues.

Now all our servers run MySQL 5.1, which is the latest stable MySQL version, and its availability goes the furthest into the future according to the MySQL lifecycle calendar.

Policy update on traffic overage for Universal plan accounts

03rd Sep 2010

This notice is to inform you about a policy update on traffic overage for Universal plan accounts. Starting this month (September, 2010), all Universal plan accounts that reach their monthly traffic limit will be automatically restricted. Email will continue to function normally, but web traffic will be blocked, and the site will be unavailable.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The policy update affects only Universal plan accounts. No changes will occur for Business plan accounts.

If an account is automatically restricted and web traffic is blocked, the account permissions will be set back to normal on the first date of the next month, when the traffic counter is rolled back to zero. If the account is upgraded meanwhile and the traffic limit is increased, the access will be restored with the upgrade itself.

This update in account processing is being introduced because many customers have stated that they prefer not to pay traffic overage fees.

If you foresee that a Universal plan account of yours may reach its traffic limit and you want to avoid site suspension, we recommend that you have the account upgraded to the Business plan, which comes with 500GB monthly traffic limit. Also, Business plan accounts are not a subject of the site suspension policy on traffic limit reaching.

Business plan upgrade on European and Hong Kong based servers

11th Aug 2010

We would like to inform you that today we upgraded the resources of Business plan accounts on servers in Europe (Frankfurt) and Hong Kong. The Business plan on these servers now comes with 50 GB space and 500 GB monthly transfer. The price of the plan remains unchanged. All existing accounts were upgraded automatically to match the new plan resources.

Business plan accounts include much more space and traffic than the Universal plan accounts - 50 times more space for HK/US servers. In general, the Business plan provides much greater value for the money. If you are using our Universal plan and you are interested in upgrading to Business plan, you can either check the section for upgrades in your Control panel, or simply contact us for assistance.

Online web building software released

29th Mar 2010

Following the requests of many of our customers, for the last several months our Software Team has been working on our own online web-building tool - SureWebBuilder.

SureWebBuilder is designed for our hosting environment, and it is for our hosting customers exclusively. Its purpose is to allow easy creation of a site from a template. Over 15 templates are already available, and we plan to add more regularly.

The BETA version of SureWebBuilder is ready. Today our Software developers installed it on several of our servers in our Hong Kong datacenter - servers s213-s224. Customers on these servers can reach SureWebBuilder through the "SureWebBuilder" icon in their online Control Panel. We plan to install SureWebBuilder on all our servers within a couple of weeks.
